The association of the federal judges of Brazil (Ajufe) manifested itself on Thursday 17, in repudiation of the recent statements by the Government of United States Criticizing Brazilian justice. According to the entity, the US attacks “violate national sovereignty and try to delegitimize the Brazilian judicial system, in particular the performance of the Supreme Federal Court (STF)“.

“Attempts to submit judicial decisions and the execution of the Brazilian authorities at pressure or external evaluations are serious declarations on the self -determination of the country and sovereignty,” says the entity.

“Ajufe reaffirms the importance of mutual respect between the nations and categorically refuses any form of interference with the execution of the Brazilian magistrates. The federal judiciary will remain alert in defense of sovereignty, legality and independence of the institutions, essential and non -negotiable values in any democracy”, will conclude the association.
