With humor, local references and an adventure inspired by the classics, Pocket Trap Game Porta charisma and classic gameplay
The Brazilian games market has gained more and more visibility with titles that go beyond expected. Horizon Chase, Mullet Madjack and other recent productions show how the country is ready to create complete experiences, with personality and execution. Now, it is the turn of developer Pocket Trap presenting a project that saves the spirit of the classic adventures, with touches of local creativity and well -marked identity.
Pipistrello and The Cursed Yoyo combine combat, humor and a world structure inspired by the big names of the genre. Instead of following repeated formulas, the title embraces the retro style with fluidity and modern shots that put it among the best independent versions of the year, not only among the citizens.

Family problems
Pipistrello and The Cursed Yoyo begin with a classic family drama. Pippit, our protagonist, is not very close to the family and only thinks of competing in the Yo -yo championships. In one of his visits to Aunt, the eccentric Madame Pipistrello – a tycoon responsible for the energy empire that provides the city of Nova Voltânia – ends up being caught when the home is attacked by a group of mysterious entrepreneurs.
The pack of the pack, which attracts attention from the appearance of mafia charger, was to transform the lady itself into an infinite energy source. With this, they intended to master the city according to their rules and profits. Pippit tries to prevent the action using his Yo -yo, but the situation comes out of the control. In the process, his aunt ends up being divided into four batteries and part of her will end up in your Yo. Thinking of having eliminated all the threats, the bad guys did not count at the beginning of the journey of the young hero Pippit.
The plot develops in a good mood and a light narrative, full of charismatic characters. The dialogues are hilarious, both with the bad guys and with the NPC scattered throughout the Nova Voltânia. The Portuguese position is a separate show, full of references to Brazilian culture. In one of the most unusual moments, a character in the city finds himself imitating the way of talking about a classic figure of Hermes and Renato, making fun of the accent of San Paolo, one of the many jokes that help to make personality to the universe of the game.

The Master of Yoo
It is difficult not to compare bats and the cursed yoyo with the classic Zeldas. The title drinks a lot from the source of these games, in particular the Super Nes era, as a link to the past. Not only for the opinion of the character, but for the entire general structure of the adventure. You can also say that Pipistrello is the closest we have from a Zelda remedied for the current audience.
The exploration is fun, especially for the scenarios and the way the study included places inspired by Brazil. Pippit can speak with the NPC and perform very fast secondary missions, such as looking for a snack from the canteen or meet members of your family. It is also possible to interact with curious figures like a pigeon mother, who gives useful advice. Through the map, we find taxis erections that act as quick travel points and are unlocked only with coins obtained by defeating the enemies or found by the scenario. In addition, there are secrets blocked behind the skills that are acquired only later, which strengthens the desire to return to the previous phases to finally carry it behind it.
Yo -yo is the real protagonist alongside Pippit. It is used both in combat and in resolution of the puzzles. We can attack from afar, make combo and even perform maneuvers inspired by classic tricks – such as the famous “Walking with the dog”, which allows you to cross the aquatic surfaces, something frequent in the game. Use Ye -yo to attack a wall and see the enemies fall one by one never stop being fun. In addition, it is essential for the transport of keys or batteries in inaccessible areas.

Enemies also deserve importance. There are traditional melmes, well -known games games like Dragon Quest, but here with their look, wearing hats, for example. Another salient moment goes to an enemy who looks like a capybara that comes out of a job, something that strengthens only the charm of the game.
During the adventure, we unlocked the “bóthons” that act as improvements in combat. One of the most useful is that of an eye, which reveals the life of the enemies. But each Boton consumes the BP points and the limitation requires strategic decisions on which to keep equipped. The only problem is that you can manage these bonton only on the tools of the tools, marked on the floor. This requires to return to the hiding place used in history, which can hinder the rhythm when you are far away.
The improvement system also escapes the standard. Although things like BP increases, recovery of life and damage, they are provided with a debt system. Our cousin Pepita releases only the updates after signing a contract and the value of the debt appears next to the coin counter. As long as we have to, the negative effects come into action, such as reducing damage or preventing enemies from leaving life. However, the game allows you to reimburse updates if the difficulty tightens. In my case, I didn’t have great problems even with these active effects.
Considerations

Pipistrello and The Cursed Yoyo are another test of how much the Brazilian market is ready to shine on any platform. With a charismatic protagonist, a humorous narrative and a city full of local references, the Pocket Trap game offers a solid and fun adventure, capable of pleasure both to those who have grown up with the old Zelda and those who are looking for something different in the current catalog.
The well -deceived structure, the creative use of Yechanics as the main mechanics and the risk updating system that mixes risk and reward shows attention to details and balance. Also with the management of minor skills management, the rhythm of the adventure remains stable and the desire to explore the new Voltânia never disappears.
In the end, it is the impression that Pipistrello and The Corse Yoyo are not only an important step for Pocket Trap, but also a clear message from how Brazil can contribute to originality, competence and good humor to the global game scenario.
