The Scooby-Doo animation recorded a soundtrack after the premiere was canceled

The Batgirl movie wasn’t Warner’s only million dollar cancellation. Another film that was almost ready and will not be released is the animation “Scoob! Holiday Haunt”, a continuation of “Scooby! The Movie” (2000).

But even the cancellation didn’t stop the filmmakers from moving forward in post-production on the film.

The co-writer and producer of “Scoob! Holiday Haunt” Tony Cervone posted a photo on his Instagram on Sunday (07/08), five days after the cancellation of the official release of the project, in which he showed the orchestra recording the sound of the animation.

In the caption of the image, Cervone explained the reason for the decision.

“So what do you do when the movie gets canceled, but you’ve already paid for the space and the musicians? You record the damn soundtrack!” He said.

Director Bill Haller watched the recording remotely and later posted an emotional statement.

“Thanks for all the love and support this week,” she said. “Scooby fans are the best in the world! This weekend I watched via Zoom our scores magically produced by our already paid musicians as I am ironically recovering from Covid. It was glorious to my ears! #SaveScoobHolidayHaunt”

The end of the message is a clear move by the director looking for a popular commitment to try to distribute the film, in the same way that happened with “Justice League”. Whether it will produce results remains to be seen.

“Scoob! Holiday Haunt” was an original production on the HBO Max platform and was canceled along with “Batgirl” – after being practically ready – by the decision of the CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery, who decreed the end of exclusive film productions in streaming.
