Sandman: Already at the top of Netflix, Internet users are on fire!

Online since August 5 on Netflix, the Sandman series immediately delighted subscribers. Adapted from Neil Gaiman’s work and long considered unsuitable, Sandman probably needed to go through the series format to better expand its story and set its dreamlike and terrifying world.

The Dream Merchant, or Morpheus, or Dream, is played by Tom Sturridge, who seems born to embody this extraordinary character, an anthropomorphic personification of an elusive concept. He carries his spleen with a very British elegance and learns (perhaps) to be more in touch with his emotions when interacting with people.

This ten-episode season is like a crazy ride between the dream world and the waking world, passing through various realms, including the Underworld, led by the iron fist of Lucifer Morningstar (Gwendoline Christie). Visually, these are the unreal worlds they suggest, somewhere between dreams and nightmares.
