Netflix has canceled the animated series “Queer Force” (Q-Force), about a devalued group of LGBTQIA + superspies in personal and professional adventures.
As the platform does not announce cancellations, the news was given by one of the voice actors, Matt Rogers (from the “Las Culturistas” podcast), during an appearance on the “Attitudes!” Podcast.
“The people who loved it really loved it and the good news is that it will always be on Netflix,” Rogers said. “He didn’t have a season 2, but he came out and exists.”
Launched in September last year, the series revolved around Steve Maryweather, better known as Agent Mary, who is punished with a transfer after revealing that he is homosexual with the company he works for, the American Intelligence Agency (AIA ). However, instead of settling for “punishment”, Mary ends up forming her own team of homosexual agents.
The attraction was reminiscent of the Brazilian animation “Super Drags”, also from Netflix, with the superheroes LGBTQIA +, also canceled prematurely after the first season.
American animation was created by Gabe Liedman (screenwriter of “Brooklyn Nine-Nine”), Sean Hayes (the Jack of “Will & Grace”) and Michael Schur (creator of “Brooklyn Nine-Nine”) and has distinguished himself in his cast Sean Hayes himself as the voice of Agent Mary.
