Orlando Ribeiro was disconnected from the office after Timãozinho was beaten by Botafogo-Sp for the Paulist championship of the category
The Corinthians announced on Monday (28) the resignation of the coach Orlando Ribeiro. The professional was head of the Under 20 team and Timão deactivated the coach after the 4-1 route suffered by Botafogo last Saturday (29) for the Paulist championship of the category.
Orlando arrived in Timão in October last year, after spending two years in Santos. At the beginning of this year, he took the second place of the Sao Paulo Junior Cup. However, a good performance was not followed for the whole season and Corinthians did not advance in the Brazilian championship, ending in 15th place, with 20 points, fighting against relegation. In the state, the team won eight of the 13 games and is fourth in their group. In his passage, the coach had a success of 52.5%with 17 wins, 12 draws and 11 losses.
At the moment, the team will be led by Fábio Camilo, Nenê, following Paulistan, until a new name is defined. According to the Meu Timão website, Eduardo Vergueiro, coach of the club’s U15, is one of the main quotes to get the vacant place.
