The story ends surprisingly: Morpheus’s Wake (Tom Sturridge), which marks a new start to dream. The death of the dream came after he himself came to the conclusion that his behavior during the journey was “terrible, selfish, manipulative” and that it was actually the real bad guy of all dreams.

The new Lord of dreams becomes Daniel Hall (Jacob Anderson), a child who was conceived during the first season in the land of the dream. With Morfeo’s death, he becomes an adult to take on his new role, having inherited the essence and powers of ancient Morfeo, but with the innocence of a child.
