Trump says that the Treasury Secretary had a “very good” meeting with the Chinese commercial team

The President of the United States Donald Trump said he had just talked to the US Treasury Secretary Scott Beesent, who told him that he had a very good meeting with the Chinese authorities in Sweden.

“He felt very well with the meeting, better than he felt yesterday,” Trump said to journalists aboard the United States presidential aircraft Air Force One, while returning home after five days in Scotland.

The US and Chinese authorities agreed to seek an extension of the 90 -day tariff truce after two days of Stockholm negotiations to calm the climb of the commercial war between the two largest economies in the world.

No important progress has been announced and the US authorities have said that Trump is up to Trump to decide whether to extend the commercial truce on August 12 or the rates are authorized to rise again to three -digit values.
