Protected by Steven Spielberg, Joe Dante has introduced several cult films in the 80’s and 90s, starting with the adventures of the interior, with 1 and 2 investigators. In 1998 he established an unjustly forgotten family comedy: Little Soldiers!
Toys come to life!
After the success of the toy story in 1995, the toys came in a living action, in front of Joe Dante’s virtuoso camera, a master who is a fantastic story. The story shows Alan Abernat (Gregory Smith), a teenager who is very exciting for Ohio’s quiet small town in which he lives.
It was excluded from high school, after continuous filling, he was trying to restore his father’s respect, a merchant specializing in toys. Given the latter’s professional trip, Alan decides to modernize the inventory by ordering new figures.
He then received a lot of unpublished toys: the Commando of Ultra -trained soldiers and a bouquet of strange creatures called the Gorgonites. What he does not know is that these toys have advanced technology … and the mission of planned destruction. Figures, equipped with an amplifier of innovative artificial intelligence, then panic over the entire city.
In the film, about crazy invention, heroic Gorgonites are looking for their hometown, Gorgon. Obviously, this place is a marketing product for the toy company, Globotech and never existed. However, when Archer, the Gorgonites emissary, is found in the photo of the Yellowstone National Park, toys think that this is a real planet Gorgon.
The secret decided?
At the end of the film, after the defeat of the Major Chip Hazard and his elite troops, the Gorgonians performed their peacekeeping mission. Then they say goodbye to their friend Alan before leaving a remote controlled boat wisely, hoping to find their promised land, Gorgon. The ending is both ironic and touch, combining a technological satire and a note of Gorgonites’ hope.
However, this result left the crowd in anticipation: Did the Gorgonians get to the Yellowstone, their earthly gorgon? On X, the screenwriter of the little soldiers, Adam Ripkin, finally answered the question that everyone was asking.
“Do you think the Gorgonites are over to find Gorgon?”He asked for a certain mutant brain to arrest Rifkin. The latter mentioned his post by this: “Absolutely!”
Absolutely! https://t.co/bep8Ccravc

Thus, the small creatures joined their promised land, in the sinking of happy days. Fans of small soldiers who have grown up with Joe Dante’s film can eventually fall asleep on their two ears: the secret is really solved!
Cashbar floppy
Unfortunately, the feature film in the cash register in 1998 was in the box office, immediately buried the slightest idea. With a budget rated for $ 40 million, he only introduced a 54 million green ticket all over the world.
In France, small soldiers are only 411,000 curious, dark-lived, Roberto Benin and X-Files are wonderful, a film published on the same day as Joe Dante’s work on October 21, 1998.
