At the first press conference as a Flamengo player, held on Friday (01), Samuel Lino highlighted the impact that fans had in his tests with the club. The attacker, who wore the 16 shirt in the loss of 1-0 in Atletico-Mg, was hit by the atmosphere created by the over 60,000 fans present in Maracanã.
“The first contact with the crowd was fantastic. I also asked Alex Sandro if he always has this party with the fireworks, because it has been really impressive. The nation is fantastic, it supports us 90 minutes and playing maracanã with that support makes it very difficult for any opponent to conquer us.”
Lino worked on the club between 2017 and 2018 on loan from San Bernardo. Although he had not highlighted at that moment, he maintained the following of the team even after his departure. Previously, he received proposals from Europe and the Arab world, but has chosen to return to Brazil.
“Since I returned to San Bernardo after my transition to Flamengo, I have always accompanied the main team always. It is true that I have had some very interesting proposals from Europe, good financial proposals from Arabia. But when Flamengo arrived with a good proposal that I thought: it is a gigantic club, where I have already played and who is always in competition.”
State of more expensive hiring
The attacker for 25 years has signed a contract until 2029, after being purchased by Atletico Madrid for 22 million euros (R $ 143 million), with bonuses for the objectives. Although it was announced as the greatest hiring in the history of the club, it has minimized the pressure associated with investments.
“Being the greatest intake in Flamengo’s story is surprising, the reason for very proud. Our team has many talents, very quality players, but names and numbers do not play. If you don’t run and give everything, it leaves life 100%, here in Brazilian football it will not win.”
