Cinemawim Wenders wins special show in honor of its 80 years old from the German filmmaker will be shown in the Cinemas Reag Belas Artes, Cinesystem Frei Caneca and Botafogo in August by Newsroom

German filmmaker classics will be shown in the Cinemas Reag Fine Arts, Cinesystem Frei Mug and Botafogo in August

To celebrate the 80th anniversary of the director Wim Wenders (Paris, Texas)one of the main names of the new German cinema and unavoidable reference in contemporary cinema, the cinemas Reag Fine Arts (SP), Cinesystem Fine Arts Frei Caneca (SP) and Cinesystem Fine Arts Botafogo (RJ) present, throughout August, a special show with four essential titles of their filmography.

The show is the result of a partnership between Belas Artes Group and the Cinesystem Network, and takes the curatorship of São Paulo’s most traditional street cinema to new rooms, combining selecting copyright and worshiped films. Check out the shows of the show:

The American friend (Der Amerikanische Freund)

Synopsis: An American expat to Tom (Dennis Hopper) decides to be part of an attempted murder to earn extra money. All that Tom needs to do to earn his part is finding a potential killer who won’t open his mouth. And the perfect man for work is Jonathan (Bruno Ganz), a desperate terminal cancer patient to leave her family inheritance. Jonathan is far from being a rental gunman and the plan does not come out exactly as expected

The State of Things (Der stand der dinge)

Synopsis: A team records science fiction film in Portugal about survivors in a post-capalipse land. The money is over, the producer disappears and the team gets impatient and bored, outlining increasingly sentimental reactions.

The sky of Lisbon (Lisbon Story)

Synopsis: Phillip is a sound engineer who goes to Lisbon to help his old friend Friedrich complete his movie. It crosses Europe from north to south, to the Portuguese capital, but arrives late: Friedrich has disappeared. In the big house where he lived, his friend left no more than an unfinished movie, containing images without sound, filmed on the streets of Lisbon. Patiently, Winter decides to put the sound in the images and, fascinated with the beauty of the place, decides to be a little more and explore the region. That’s when she meets Teresa, the beautiful singer of the Madredeus group, who soon falls in love. But new surprises await him with Friedrich’s sudden reappearance.

Alice in Cities (Alice in Den Städten)

Synopsis: A German journalist and a girl who is about her care goes in search of the young woman’s grandparents.
