Brazil tries to end the fasting of the titles at the Under 21 World Cup base

From this Thursday (7/8), Brazil has another opportunity to put an end to the fasting of titles based on the basic Championships in volleyball. In Surabaya, Indonesia, the U21 women’s team brings the hope of conquest.




The last title of Brazil at the base was in 2015, when a generation with Rosamaria, Drussyla, Lorenne, Milka, Naiane, among others, won Turkey in the final of the U-23 World Cup.

In the U21 World Cup, the Brazilian team won six titles: 1987, 1989, 2001, 2003, 2005 and 2007. In the last edition, in 2023, the yellow-green team obtained the bronze medal.

To end the uncomfortable fasting, the national team has the same coach of the conquest of ten years ago: Wagão. The commander of Flor de Ypê/Paulistano/Barueri has in the cast players with presence in the last League of Nations (VNL): the tips of Helena and Aline Segato.

In the World Cup, the main opponents of Brazil will be China, the current champion of the category, as well as Turkey, Safronova and Durgun and Italy, of Adigwe and Manfredini.
