The second division season promises to be super contested
The championship, the English second division, will begin on Friday (8), with a combination of tradition, we restart after year to forget and projects. The competition reserves the initial favoritism of the teams of the Premier League newly applied and the ambition of the projects of the teams just promoted to the third division, famous investors.
Birmingham City, a team managed by the iconic former football player Tom Brady and Wrexham, by the actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mcelhenney. Both teams guide the last League One, with the Blues taking the best and sacred champions, while the Welsh team has obtained the second classified.
The couple tries to get two consecutive blows in two seasons, a rare company, which was reached by a few teams. Case of ipswich Town in the 2023/2024 season and Southampton in the 2011/2012 season.
To try to reach this company, both teams have invested strong in the transfers market. Wrexham by Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mcelhenney has so far spent £ 12.80 million in ten different purchases. Most arrivals came from the English market itself, among the salient moments there are defender Conor Coady, who had been summoned to the English team in recent months, the left -back free cocoon, who was in the Emole in Italy, and the midfielder Lewis O’Brien, a former Nottingham Forest.
On the other hand, Birmingham City has spent a little more with 13 purchases, but the profile varied a little. In addition to focusing on the English market itself and on players with experience in the championship, the Blues also went to look for experiences with other alloys. The case of the attacker Kyogo Furuhashi, who had a prominent passage through Celtic, also the striker Marvin Ducksch, the highlight of Werder Bremen in recent seasons and the right back Osayu Samuel, ex Fenerbahce.

To try to get the company of two consecutive access, the two teams challenge the three teams that have been relegated to the Premier League: Southampton, Ipswich Town and Leicester City. The English second division was dominated by teams that have been downgraded in previous years, with only two teams that have won a new access to the first English division in the last three years.
Leicester bets your chips in Spanish
One of the favorites for the title is Leicester City, one of the relegates of the last Premier League, and tries to win his EneAcy Championship championship. Foxes are the team that most often won the competition, with eight results.
To try to do it, the team maintains the same basis as the last seasons and with few changes. So far, only the expert goalkeeper Begovic has arrived at the club, but the main change is on the edge of the field with the arrival of the Spanish coach Martí Cifuentes.

The 43 -year -old coach built his career in the lower divisions of Spanish football in Scandinavia. Cifuentes took over the Queens Park Rangers in 2023 and, with few investments, managed to keep the team in the championship alive in the last two seasons, but has left the club for mutual consent after the end of last season.
Saints choose to hear the French championship
On the southern coast, Southampton also chose to change the command with the arrival of Will Still, an Anglo-Belgian coach who recently excellent in French football. Even with the change in office, he still maintained the base of the cast of last season, with few punctual signatures and the return of some players borrowed.

Consequently, the saints have an expert group within the competition, strengthened by promising young people who distinguished themselves last season. Among the main names are the midfielder Mateus Fernandes and Ponta Tyler Dibling. The cast also has a Brazilian presence, with the former San Paolo Wellington and Juan.
Ipswich opts for continuity
Unlike the other two relegated clubs, the city of Ipswich has chosen to keep the coach Kieran McKenna, responsible for bringing the team back to the Premier League. The tractors also preserved the base of the cast of last season, making only occasional hires.
The offensive sector follows strong, with the permanence of the main importance of the last campaign, the Hutchinson omari midfielder. In addition to him, the team also has strikers Sammie Szmodics and Jaden Phogo, who have also distinguished themselves in the last year.

In defense, in addition to presenting salient moments of the team, such as Leif Davies and Jacob Greaves, the club has gained an expert reinforcement: the defender Ashley Young, the former Manchester United and Everton, who brings luggage and leadership to the cast.
Who runs out?
After losing the final of the last playoff in light of the lights, Sheffield United is one of the teams that run out in search of a place for the next Premier League. For this, the blades have maintained most of the cast that was already last year, with some punctual additions, such as the striker Louie Barry on loan from Aston Villa.
The big change is on the edge of the countryside: with Chris Wilder’s resignation for the arrival of Spanish Rubén Sellés, which comes from two important works that command Hull City and Reading. In addition to him, Brazilian midfielder Vinicius Souza, who was revealed by Flamengo, left the club to hit Wolfsburg after he distinguished himself last season.

Another team that runs outside is Coventry City, led by Frank Lampard. The Sky Blues held a recovery campaign last season, which was very attributed the arrival of the former Chelsea coach, who hired the team after the resignation of Mark Robins, a coach who was sought by the fans. The former midfielder hired control and brought the team to the playoffs, but in the end he was eliminated in Sunderland in the semifinal.
The team led by Lampard has made some changes to its cast so far in the window. The team made only three purchases, the main one was the left back Kaine Kesler, who came from the Aston Villa.

This Friday (8), Birmingham City will host the city of Ipswich at the Stadium of St Andrew at 16h (Brasilia Time), a match that will begin competition. The first round continues to happen during the weekend.
