Ashton Kutcher spoke about the battle with vasculitis on the Bear Grylls show on National Geographic
AshtonKutcherknown for his roles in That ’70s Show (1998) and Two and a half Men (2011), spoke for the first time about the battle with vasculitis, an autoimmune disease that prevented him from seeing, hearing and walking. The actor gave details about the recovery during the program Celebrities on the Go (2014) with Bear Gryllsgives National Geographic.
Vasculitis is a designation for a group of autoimmune diseases that cause inflammation of blood vessels (microscopic or even arteries and veins). The disease restricts blood flow, causing damage to the body’s organs and tissues.

“You don’t really appreciate it, until you lose. Until you understand, ‘I don’t know if I’ll be able to see again, I don’t know if I’ll be able to hear again, I don’t know if I’ll be able to walk again,” he said.

Kutcher he still says that he was not shaken by the challenges imposed by the disease, and saw the situation as an opportunity for growth. The artist comments that it took him about a year to recover.
“The minute you start seeing your obstacles as things made for you, to give you what you need, then life starts to get fun, right? You start surfing on top of your problems instead of living under them. ”
