Anya Taylor-Joy will be the protagonist of the new film in the Mad Max franchise and her characterization surprised fans. See the pictures!
Known for her role in The Queen’s Gambit, Anya Taylor-Joy will be the protagonist of Angrythe newest film in the franchise of Mad Max. Last week, photos from the set of the prequel were released and the actress is almost unrecognizable in the clicks.
In the universe of the saga, Anya will play the younger version of Furious Empressa character played by Charlize Theron in the 2015 film. In the leaked images, then, the actress appears in typical clothes from the universe of Mad Max and long-haired — quite different from the characterization of the role in the original feature. Angry takes place in a period prior to the events seen in Mad Max: Fury Road. Directed by George Millerwho worked on all the films in the franchise to date, the feature will have Chris Hemsworth (Thor: Love and Thunder and Rescue) as the villain of the plot.
Beyond the star of the universe Marvel it’s from Anya Taylor-Joythe production cast is still composed of Angus Sampson, Nathan Jones and Tom Burke. Angryhas a theatrical release date scheduled for May 24, 2024, and in the meantime, Mad Max: Fury Road can be seen in the catalog HBO Max. Check out the trailer for the 2015 film:
“Strong enough”
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly to promote Last Night in Soho (2021), Anya Taylor-Joy talked about his expectations with the new feature and also stated that Miller the director, is “incredibly generous and so passionate” about his work.
“I already love working with him. He’s just the best,” said the star of the director. “My preparation for the role is just to become strong enough to be able to carry this movie. That’s what it is. It’s emotional, physical and mental strength. I can’t wait. I’m so excited. Mad Max if there were no vehicles of some sort.”
