Even such a grand and spectacular film as Jurassic Park has some small mistakes that are more or less easy to notice, as Michelle and Michelle often proved to us in the Faux Fitting show. Thanks to impeccable direction, extraordinary special effects and a masterful script, we simply do not pay attention.
The biggest of these mistakes has been in front of us for years, but hidden in the middle of the sequence where our nerves are tested: the one where Lex and Tim are chased by predators in the Park kitchen.
Indeed, exactly 1 hour, 49 minutes and 8 seconds into the film, when we look closely at the tail of the first dinosaur to enter the room, we see a technician’s hand stealthily resting on it, perhaps to help it. Keep your balance.
Even if this huge mistake is clearly visible in the final cut of the feature film, the vast majority of the audience, too absorbed in the tension of the scene, simply did not notice it.
The same phenomenon occurs a little earlier in the film, during the famous scene where the T-Rex emerges from its shell. The public, mesmerized by this visual attraction, never noticed that a huge chasm had suddenly appeared – as if by magic – right where the dinosaur had entered.
Moral of the story: You can make the biggest mistakes in the world, before the final show is even bigger, the audience will see nothing but fire.
