High luxury bunkers for billionaires protect themselves

American Company is promoting the project of a bunker with advantages – ranging from the cuisine to the spa – face apocalyptic threats such as wars and climate change.

The world of the high -standard real estate market is embracing a new concept: luxury bunkers, built to protect billionaires from a possible “apocalypse” caused by wars, effects on climate change and other global threats.

Unlike normal underground shelters, where the most important thing is to guarantee the protection and survival of people, bets in the sector on fortified structures that offer comfort and a series of advantages: spa, haute gastronomy and panoramic projections that simulate external landscapes are among the attractions of these structures.

With this, the experience of “surviving at the end of the world” turns into something close to a resort under the earth.

A few years ago, Mark Zuckerberg, owner of the lens, attracted attention by announcing his plan to build a giant complex in Hawaii, with infrastructures focused on calamity situations. In addition to him, Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon, has invested in similar precautions.

The market seems to expand. Recently, the American Company Safe has published a project to build more than 1,000 “global sanctuaries”, that is, underground bunkers located in different cities in the world.

In an interview with BBC News Brasil, Naomi Corbi, director of the operations and medical prevention of the company, said the project, called Aerie – English word Meaning Eagle Nest – It acts as a club for exclusive members.

“Membership is possible only by invitation and is highly selective. I cannot share many details, but [a adesão] It is not for everyone. “

The values to use “anti -padolipse” bunkers depend on the size of the chosen space.

An 185 square meter refuge would cost around $ 2 million ($ 10, 8 million), but the price could reach $ 20 million ($ 108 million) for larger accommodation.

According to Corbi, all the structures offer water, food, accommodation, unlimited medical service and without restrictions.

“They do not depend on the electric grid, which makes them proof of electromagnetic impulses,” he says.

Security measures and “internal imprisonment”

The Safe Director states that the bunkers are designed to support long periods of isolation underground and have strategies for situations of conflict of the service team, including an “internal prison”.

“There is always the possibility of unexpected or unacceptable behaviors. There are different emergency measures built in the shelters. The most direct is a prison that each installation has.”

According to Corbi, the arrest would work “like any high standard of detention center”.

“It is a suite prepared to keep people in isolation, but this allows communication and interaction,” he says.

The decision on who he would be arrested would be at the customer’s discretion.

Bunker Aerie they are classified as Scifs (acronym in English for Sensitive Compartments Information Facility), that is, they have extremely rigid security measures, protected structures against electronic surveillance, such as the crisis room of the White House.

Corbi estimates that there is a growing question for these luxurious shelters in the face of current geopolitical challenges.

“Humanity is dangerously, to imprison digitally and completely controlled, unsolved in sight,” he adds:

“THE Aerie It is sovereign, where privacy reigns, access is unlimited and the discretion is absolute, “he says.

When asked if the company has customers from Brazil, Corbi dodged, but said Safe “is anxious to serve this region of the world”.

“Brazil is not unaware of the deep concerns for safety.”
