Errani and Vavassori exceed the stars and conquer them

The Italian mixed couple defeated Swiatk and Ruud in the final

The Italian tennis Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori won the mixed mixed tournament of the US Open, the last Grand Slam of the season.

“Azzurri” passed the Polish Iga Swiatek and the Norwegian Casper Ruud with a 10/6 victory in a draw, after 6/3 and 5/7 partial in the first two sets.

This was the first edition of the mixed tournament format of the new pair of Us Open, which was played in just two days and collected 16 teams formed by some of the best tennis players in simple, such as Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic, Alexander Zver, Taylor Fritz, Jack Draper, Ben Shelton, Andreva and Elena Rybakina, as well as Ruud and Ruud.

Errani and Vavassori, however, are experts in couples and have applied the experience in this mode. Errani already has six women’s doubles in Grand Slam, two in Australia, two in Roland Garros, one in Wimbledon and one in US Open, and now boasts three double mixed results (all with Vavassori), one to Roland Garros and two at US Open.

Already Vavassori, in addition to the titles of Errani, has created two finals in Australia open and one in Roland Garros in male couples.

“Our secret is that we trained a lot for this formula. We are friends and we have fun on the field,” the Italian said at the Supernis portal. “It was very difficult to go back to the game after losing the second set. But I enjoy it a lot with Andrea, and in a draw he did things that only he can do,” said Errani.

The US Open Simple Keys start next week.
