Warning, the following contains spoilers for the movie One Piece Red

At the end of the film, with the support of their respective crews, Luffy and Shanks manage to defeat the demon that possessed Uta in an impressive visual flood.

After this epic moment, Le Roux’s daughter regains consciousness and is reunited with her adoptive father. Then, Luffy and his army leave their side, sailing off to new adventures!

Two hours into the film, the credits begin to roll. If you didn’t stay until the end of the last one, know that you are in for a little surprise.

As the credits roll, a black screen gives way to Luffy’s ship, the Sunny, sailing the waves. The hero hangs on the bow of the boat and thinks about his friend Uta, who appears to him in his thoughts.

Enchanted with renewed enthusiasm and energy, the Straw Hat captain leaps into the air and chants that one day he will be king of the pirates.

This post-credits sequence doesn’t add much to the plot of the film or announce anything special for the One Piece series, but it remains a delicious eye-opener for fans.

Additionally, Luffy seems to have recovered after reuniting with Uta, which further motivates him towards his ultimate goal of becoming the greatest pirate.
