Leonardo Vieira: Cowl of Soap Operas is dedicated to work as a ceramist in Portugal

Failure known in the soap opera Globo between 1990 and 2000, Leonardo Vieira reinvented his life by changing his studies for ceramic study.

Far from national television since 2016, when he participated in “The Dieci Comandments”, in recording, the Brazilian actor has lived in Portugal since 2018, where he lives with his husband, Leandro Fonseca.

In his social networks, Vieira shares the moments of his daily life as a ceramist.

It shows the process of creating in the studio, the challenges and progress, in addition to the pieces produced, in particular the clay vessels.

“I understood that it will be eternal learning. Every day is a new and different day than the previous one,” he wrote in one of the subtitles.

In one of the publications on the profile, it looks like “Leo Do Rio, Ceramist”.

He explains that the profile is dedicated “to the creation and admiration of this millenary and artifact of art”, highlighting the exchange of techniques, learning and high involvement with raw materials.

The change of the country represented more than a geographical change compared to the actor. In an interview with the “Extra” newspaper in May 2020, he revealed that he had to face death threats in Brazil because he was not straight.

This motivation led him to look for refuge in Portugal, where he says he had no more than this type of persecution.

Born in Rio de Janeiro, on December 23, 1968, Leonardo de Pinho Vieira began his still young artistic career and won the public with talent, versatility and charisma.

His television debut took place in Rede Manchete in 1990, when he played Pedro in the soap opera “The story of Ana Raio and Zé Trovão”.

National recognition arrived in 1993, when José Innocent lived in the first phase of “Renascer”, of Rede Globo.

In the same year, he took the protagonism in “Dream My”, also in Globo.

In the plot, he played Lucas Candeias de Sá, a character who transformed him into one of the most remembered Rubacuori of the decade.

Years later, in 2004, he returned to shine in the station giving Lita to Leandro Ferreira da Silva in “Senhora do destiny”, one of the greatest successes of the audience of the Brazilian television drama.

In 2005, Leonardo began a new phase of his career by signing a contract with Rede record. At the station, he distinguished himself as the bad vector lope Júnior in the soap opera “Proof of Love”.

Shortly thereafter, in 2007, he played the police officer Marcelo Duarte Montenegro in “Paths of the Heart” and after the success “The Mutantes”, consolidating his versatility as an actor able to pass between heroes and antagonists.

To the director, he also starred in “Lives in Game”, “José do Egypt”, “Victory” and “The Den Commandments”, his last appearance on television.

During his career, he also starred in theatrical performances and films such as “chronically impossible” and “The dress”.

He has been married to Leandro Fonseca since 2018, after ten years of relationship.
