The Brazilian team won a world rhythmic gymnastics for the first time. Duda Arakaki, Sofia Madeira, Nicole Pircio, Maria Paula Caminha and Mariana Gonçalves obtained silver in the competition that took place this Saturday, 23, in Rio de Janeiro.

During this afternoon the general test was played, consisting of two performances of each team: the Mystic series (three balls and two arches) and the simple series (five tapes).
The Brazilian team totaled 55,250 points in both events and only the Japanese athletes was behind, which won the degree 55,550. The bronze remained with Spain, which obtained 54,750 points.

If the Brazilian team ends this Saturday among the first eight of each set, the national team will challenge each other again next Sunday, the last day of competitions, in the finals of the mixed series and the Simple series.
