Bad news for Disney+ subscribers. The management of the SVOD platform recently announced the upcoming arrival of commercials, a total of nine to twelve spots per hour. However, subscribers to the service will be offered two formulas: a version with ads (no price change) and a version without ads, but subject to a 38% increase in the subscription price.
Specifically, in the American territory, the subscriber currently set at $7.99 per month will increase to $10.99 for the premium formula from next December, an annual increase of $36!
It has already been confirmed that this price increase will be extended to other territories, including France, where the subscription price is currently €8.99 per month. However, Disney France did not reveal the amount that subscribers of the platform will have to pay from December.
In addition to this increase, it should be remembered that Disney+ will be hosting some highly anticipated new shows in the coming weeks, including the new Marvel series She-Hulk: Lawyer (August 18) or Andor (September 21), the prequel to Star. War movie Rogue One.
