Nothing to worry about TF1: “I had to do it” … Gendolin Hamon (Cassandre) explains why he received the role of Madid

This Monday, August 25 at 9:10 pm. On Monday, TF1 broadcasts the first two episodes of Nothing Is Streated You, a series of new events adapted from the episodic novel by Michel Bus.

For this occasion, Gendolin Hamon, the Cassandri star gives its properties to Madid, a doctor St. Jean-de-Flu, who, ten years after the tragic death of his son’s Esteban, meets Tom, a little boy who looks like two drops of water. He then decided to move to Auvergne to investigate this mysterious boy.

The distribution spoke to the actor to ask him a few questions about the series and his role to delete it.

Distribution: You do nothing to get rid of, you play Maddi, a doctor who decides to put everything on after meeting a little boy who resembles him as two drops of water disappeared. What did you like in this role?

Gendolin Hamon : I found it a very beautiful role for a woman of my age. This would allow me to study the big palette of toy. And then I read the script by attaching the pages.

I read everything at once and thought the rocks were very good. I really liked it and I told myself that I had to do it. I also worked with the director of the series, Jerim Cornua 20 years ago, and it was the experience I loved. I was very happy to work with him.

Then the role of Madid was also an opportunity for me to offer something else and change. What I like in an acting profession is a game and compilation. It is very fun when the character is not close to me.

You have not read the novel before taking the role. Since then, have you caught your delay?

No I haven’t read it yet. It’s not that I prefer to read it, but I knew there were differences in the series. The text of the script is sometimes difficult to adapt to certain stories.

As in the world of Michelle Bus, there are plenty of fantasy, TF1 chose to go into more reality. Michelle Busie participated in writing scenarios, so all changes were made in agreement. Thus, the story was slightly transformed.

And then, finally, I already knew this story by reading scripts. I don’t like watching movies of movies, nor do I love reading books. I like surprises. And as there, I knew the whole story, I would be annoying.

Michelle Busie gave you the advice of the game to play Maddi?

No, because when I first met him, we have become a good month. I have already found a character. If he gave me advice and realized that it was the opposite of what I was doing, it would be very annoying.

But it wasn’t. Michelle Busses is a person who has a lot of humility and who is very kind. Together, we discussed and discussed his world, but not the character. I think he trusted the producer and teams. And then, when he wrote scripts, he knew very well what he was going to play.

After seeing a boy who resembles his son, Maddy decides to completely change his life and start his son and his former peers. Do you understand all the choices of the character?

Yes, I understand. I stood on the spot of this woman, who suffered a drama. This is the whole paradox of the series. Maddy is a rational and scientific woman who has suffered a drama.

Even if it is not said, she is also a woman who had to live difficult things. He received one child without his father. He really had to choose. And it is cataclysm when it loses it.

After that, this fiction remains, so we can’t discuss this story, but I think it is not even a choice for him. Visceral need. He has a lot of pain and what he sees in front of him is very mindful.

She sees her son, who is still 10 years old. And he can’t help but go. He should know. I think he has a share who knows and who realizes that what he does is crazy, but he can’t help him.

When watching the series, it is very surprising that Maddi, who lost his son after he left alone for a few minutes, Gabriel was comforted alone in the countryside. How does he not project his injury to his second child?

True, in real life I would be much more hysterical than it. But there we are in fiction and there are needs at the scenario level. We still see that it is not always very comfortable.

There is still a scene where Tommy oversees the character that Fanny Kotenon performs and disappears. He’s crazy. And when he discovers, he screams and tells him that he never repeats such a thing.

But if he had escaped after the whole series, there would be no story. Tom had to meet Estben and make friends with him. This is a scenario agreement.

We can also imagine that in recent months he has learned to run the ballast. And then Maddy gets a lot to seek for the truth. He becomes obsessed and he forgets about things. So she will leave her son even more.

How did you like to shoot anything?

It was wonderful! We were very lucky and I was very happy to do this series. The first day of filming, I was worried because I finished another project the previous day and was afraid of being very tired. But it wasn’t.

Then I felt that I was going to the monastery because we took 15 days in St. Jean-de-Luz, then for two and a half months in Auvergne, where we were far from everything. The first day of filming was in the hospital in St. Jean-de-Luz and I was stressful.

But when I saw the director that he was happy with me, I felt confidently. I had the feeling to find the character very quickly. I realize that there was a real osmosis with the team. Everyone was beautiful and happy with being there. As dramatic as the story can be, the shooting was very happy.

Do you have projects you want to tell us?

I will play in the Sacha Guitry room from October 16, JealousyAt Michodière Theater, with Michel Faus, Alexis Monkorges, Geneva Casile and many other actors.

I’ll be there until the end of January. And then, there are other projects that are underway and other issues that have not yet been fixed. I am someone.

So I can say yes in 3 minutes for something because I like a person or because I like a room or real or text. So we will see what the future has for me in the store.
