Fox channels may not be available on YouTube TV for the payment dispute

YouTube said on Monday that it is in negotiations to renew a partnership of content with Fox, but the media company asks for payments above those received by partners who provide comparable content.

“If we cannot reach a new agreement until 17:00 GMT on August 27, Fox channels, including Fox Sports, Business and News, will not be available on YouTube TV,” said YouTube in a post.

YouTube from Alphabet, he also said it is in active negotiations with Fox, trying to reach a fair agreement for both parties “without going on additional costs to our subscribers”.

If the Fox content is not available for a long time, YouTube will provide the members with a credit of $ 10.

Separately, Fox said that it is “disappointed by the continuous exploration of its enormous influence, proposing to be down with the market”, adding that users are warning that they could lose access to content “unless Google is involved in a significant way”.

In February, YouTube TV reached an agreement with the Giant of the Global Media Paramount to keep channels such as CBS, Central Comedy and Nickelodeon, after having failed the negotiations for a new contract to leave the future of the limbo streaming partnership.
