Apple TV + has renewed for its third season the comedy series “Physical”, which revolves around the aerobics craze of the 1980s.
The attraction features Rose Byrne (“Neighbors”) as a bored housewife who finds an unlikely escape from her daily life in the world of aerobics. After becoming addicted to exercise, she finds a way to combine this newfound passion with promising VCR technology to start a groundbreaking business, transforming her neglected wife into a lifestyle guru.
Created by Annie Weisman (“Almost Family”), season 2 concluded on Friday (8/5).
“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to continue telling Sheila’s story in creative collaboration with Rose Byrne and the rest of our incredible cast, writers and crew. Rose’s breathtaking, hilarious and courageous performance is the guiding star of empowerment and personal transformation of our series, set in southern California in the 1980s in all its synth-pop glory, sunless tan and spandex, ”Weisman said in a statement on the revamp.

The cast of the attraction also includes Rory Scovel (“Wrecked”), Dierdre Friel (“Hospital New Amsterdam”), Della Saba (voice of “Steven Universe”), Lou Taylor Pucci (“Death of the Devil”), Paul Sparks (“House of Cards”) and Ashley Liao (“Fuller House”).
