Harry Potter and the Fire Chalice, Rocky Horror Picture Show, It: The Thing and Toy Story are among the main relaunch for the second half of 2025
In recent years, it has become increasingly common than great classics and recent hits return to movie theaters in special sessions. Whether to present these stories to a new audience, or to offer older fans a chance to relive the screening experience, these relaunch have moved the distributors’ calendar.
Thinking about it, the Rolling Stone Brazil prepared a list of 12 films that return to Brazilian theaters in 2025. It is worth remembering that the dates may change according to the decision of the distributors.
1. Toy Story (1995): September 11
Pixar’s first animation in feature film has revolutionized the cinema by presenting a universe where toys come to life when no one is looking.
2. Jeanne Dielman (1975): September 11
Classic directed by Chantal Akermanelected the “best movie of all time” by Sight & Sound magazine in 2022, returns in a restored copy for the Brazilian public.
3. Batman forever (1995): September 20
The third film of the Dark Knight franchise in the 1990s, directed by Joel Schumacherbrings Val Kilmer in the role of the hero and marked the time for the colorful look and the iconic soundtrack.
4. Lego Batman (2017): September 20
An animation that conquered adults and children by playing with the clichés of the darkest superhero universe of DC-only in LEGO blocks.
5. IT: The Thing (2017): September 24
The adaptation of the classic Stephen King presented a new generation to the terrifying clown Pennywise, lived by Bill Skarsgårdand became a box office phenomenon.
6. Paris, Texas (1984): September 25

10. Back to the future (1985): 05 November
The time travel adventure directed by Robert Zemeckis and starring Michael J. Fox It remains one of the most beloved movies in pop cinema.
11. Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975): November 13
The musical cult that challenges conventions and gathers fans in interactive sessions to this day, a true counterculture classic.
12. Harry Potter and the Chalice of Fire (2005): November 15
Fourth chapter of the wizard’s saga created by JK Rowlingmarked the beginning of the darkest phase of the franchise, with the return of Voldemort and the iconic tribuxo tournament.
