Actor Rodrigo Faro has revealed that he has finished filming “O Sequestro”, a feature film in which Silvio Santos lives. To announce the end of the work, he posted on Instagram a photo in which he appears as presenter and owner of SBT.
Alongside the image, he described the routine he experienced during production.
“End of a long, difficult, exhausting journey … 40 days of filming and presentation of my show simultaneously and without stopping … Away from family, friends … Crazy care for the voice, the body, the character” , he began.
“To shoot ‘Vai dar Namoro’ late, arriving home dead and still having to memorize the text for the film which would start shooting at 7am the next day … (the car picked me up every day , at 6 am). 3 hours of characterization, rehearsal of the choreography for ‘Dança Gatinho’, all together “, he recalled.
“What madness my God … But, despite the effort, this was a very beautiful and exciting journey … It was worth it,” he added.
Finally, Faro stressed that he felt honored to play Silvio Santos and thanked him for the support he received. “An honor, a happiness to be able to honor my biggest idol on TV !!!! Thank you, my God and my family for the strength !!! Hold on”, he added.
Despite the emphasis on characterizing Faro, the Moonshot Pictures production is not a traditional biography of the SBT owner, but a clipping of the seven hours Silvio Santos was held hostage in his own home, in an upscale Morumbi neighborhood. of San Paolo.
The case came on August 30, 2001, two days after the businessman’s daughter, Patricia Abravanel, was released from her own kidnapping, a case that had national repercussions. The presenter was taken hostage in his home by one of the bandits of the previous crime.
While Faro is 48, Sílvio Santos was 71 when the murder took place, so the actor had to undergo a transformation, with special aging makeup and hair implants.
“O Sequestro” has a screenplay by Newton Cannito (“City of Men”) and Anderson Almeida (“Spectros”), and is directed by Marcelo Antunes (“Police Federal: The Law is for All”).
The debut is only scheduled for 2023.
