Actress Anne Heche has been pronounced brain dead and her devices will be turned off. The Emmy winner was in a serious car accident on the 5th and has been in a coma ever since.
“We want to thank everyone for their kind wishes and prayers for Anne’s recovery and thank the dedicated staff and wonderful nurses who cared for Anne at West Hills Hospital’s Grossman Burn Center,” said a family representative.
“Unfortunately, due to her accident, Anne Heche suffered a severe anoxic brain injury and remains in a coma, in critical condition. She shouldn’t survive, ”the spokesperson told Deadline.
Anne Heche crashed her car into a house, causing a fire. Firefighters fought the flames for about 65 minutes to save her. Blood tests confirmed the presence of narcotics in the actress’s blood.
The actress wished to donate her organs and will be kept alive until the family and medical staff decide on the matter.

Prior to this terrible incident, Anne Heche, now 53, had a career spanning over 30 years in Hollywood, which began in 1987, shortly before graduating from high school. Heche received an invitation to play in the American telenovela “As the World Turns”, but her mother refused to participate.
