Anne Heche remains in coma, family says “shouldn’t survive”

Anne Heche’s family released a statement on the actress’s status afterwards a series of traffic accidents almost a week ago And unfortunately the news is not positive.

In a statement obtained from CNN Anne Heche’s friends and family revealed:

Unfortunately, following her accident, Anne Heche suffered a severe anoxic brain injury and remains in a coma, in critical condition. She is not expected to survive. It has long been her choice to donate her organs and she is kept alive to determine if any are viable. … More than her extraordinary talent, she has seen kindness and joy spread as her work in her life, above all moving the needle for acceptance of the person she loves. She will be remembered for her fearless honesty about her and we will miss her very much for her light of hers.

Earlier this week, Anne Heche was involved in two incidents in the Los Angeles area that eventually led to her being hospitalized. In the first incident, Heche’s vehicle left the road and crashed into the parking lot of an apartment complex. She the actress walked away from the scene and continued driving, but eventually she ran off the road at high speed and crashed into a house in the Mar Vista neighborhood of West Hollywood.

As waves of support poured in from Family and friends of Anne Heche news came from the local authorities that they were planning examines the actress’s blood for toxins which could have injured the driver and caused the accident. The first reports coming in suggest that Heche may have had cocaine and fentanyl in your body although it is argued that fentanyl may have been administered by hospital staff as a pain reliever.

The paparazzi first met Anne Heche’s famous ex Ellen Degeneres, but the talk show host made it clear that the two are no longer in contact, so she had no real information to offer beyond her wishes and condolences. Although there have been updates on the condition of the actress they come regularly from their representatives this morning’s news of how Heche will be remembered seems to suggest that there is no hope of recovery and that he will die from injuries sustained in the accidents.
