The president of the CBF, Samir Xud, confirmed Tuesday (2/9) that the match against Chile will be the last national team before the 2026 World Cup. The duel, scheduled for Thursday (4/9), at 9:30 pm (from Brasilia), will be in Maracanã, Rio de Janeiro. The game is valid for the 17th round of the World Cup qualifications.

“Excellent atmosphere, thanks to Deus. We hope that the team will play a great game. Our last game in Brazil in front of the World Cup. Technical Commission, Employees, Athletes, President, all happy for the work done,” said Xud.

Subsequently, he presented the president of the Gaucho Football Federation (FGD), Luciano Hocsman, as head of the delegation for the following two FIFA dates.
