Locke and Key: How the Netflix series ends?

Launching on Netflix in 2020, Locke & Key quickly found its audience. The family series, first of all, takes us to a magical world, where keys endowed with power will allow you to fly, have superpowers or visit his memories. If the 1st season was a hit, the soufflé fell quickly in the 2nd season. The series ended on a low note with the release of Season 3 on August 10.

The character introduced in Season 2, played by Kevin Durant, becomes the main character in these new episodes. He camps with Frederick Gideon, one of the most powerful demons in the World of Darkness. The latter has only one idea in mind: to recover all the keys to open the portal, release all the demons and sink the passage. For that, he can count on a few echoes, including two women trapped in a snowball.

At the end of the second season, Tyler decided to leave town to forget about the death of his girlfriend. I wonder if her translator Conor Jessup was going to leave the series. Now that he’s an adult, the former high school student barely remembers magic. But at his uncle’s wedding in Matheson, he decides to activate the alpha key and remembers everything. Phew, Loki is finally done for this final battle.

Meanwhile, Bode (a character whose stupidity grows from season to season) continues to find new keys: a snowball that releases two echoes, a harlequin that allows you to penetrate the chest, and one that allows you to go back in time.

In this season 3 of Locke & Key, Bode (Jackson Robert Scott) visits his ancestors and relives certain events from the past. So, while testing the time machine, he accidentally sends Dodge back. The latter takes over his body thanks to the Phantom Key. She then approaches Gideon and offers to take the keys for him… but the young woman ultimately decides to switch sides because she doesn’t want this world to disappear.

Kevin Durant plays Season 3’s big bad.

Gideon and his two minions go home to the Lokis, who have prepared for their arrival. But the demon is too powerful and manages to get hold of all the keys in Loki’s possession. Eager to open the portal, he realizes that he is missing one, the key to creation (it allows the painting to come to life). We then learn that he’s been hiding for years in the minds of Gordy, Randall (Bill Hack) and a former classmate of his band. Fortunately, the Lokis manage to restore it.

The final face-off finally arrives: to get rid of Gideon once and for all, Kinzie inserts the Alpha Key into his chest. He then steps into the portal he opened and disappears forever.

The Lokis understand at this point that in order to close the portal forever, they must throw the keys there. My heart goes out to the family, especially Bode. But before saying goodbye to these magical objects, they decide to use them one last time – especially for time. Then they go back a few years to visit Father Rendell. A tender and moving fountain that marks the end of the Netflix series…
