STJD releases the return to football by three athletes eliminated by the manipulation of the results

According to Stjd, athletes have shown compliance with the requirements provided in the Brazilian Sports Justice Code (CBJD), as payment of costs – administrative commissions charged for the analysis of the request – exercise of professional or school activities and presentation of declarations by people of infamous suitability connected to sports.

Therefore, the STJD complete has granted the rehabilitation request, provided for article 99 of the Brazilian Sports Justice Code, which determines that the eliminated athletes can request reintegration from sport after two years of res judit of the decision, provided that they present the documentation requested.

Ygor Catatau, ex Vasco, was defended by the lawyer Ana Linhares, who presented 18 declarations by people related to sport and to try the action as a football instructor.

Gabriel Neri, former judge and Romarinho, a former Nova village, also had their requests granted by their reatories. The lawyer Vitor Amado stressed: “These athletes recognized the errors, have fulfilled their penalties and now have the right to resume their professional activities”.

The maximum penalty of the operation began after Romarinho would have accepted a proposal for R $ 150,000 to commit a penalty in a game against sport, receiving an advance of R $ 10,000. Since it was not chosen for the game, he tried to involve other colleagues in the scheme, which made the case come out. The tests were collected by the president of Vila Nova, Hugo Jorge Bravo, and sent to the prosecutor for investigations.

STJD’s decision occurs shortly after the condemnation of the attacker Bruno Henrique, Flamengo, for the 1st Disciplinary Commission, for the manipulation against Santos in 2023.
