The adaptation of the classic series “The Fall Guy” has been made official by Universal.
The production will star Ryan Gosling (“Hidden Agent”) as Colt Seavers, a Hollywood stuntman who acts like a bounty hunter in his spare time. The original series, starring Lee Majors, was a smash hit in the 1980s, running for five seasons between 1981 and 1986.
In addition to Gosling, the production also added Emily Blunt (“Jungle Cruise”) in an unknown role, although it is likely that of female stuntman Jody Banks, one of the three main characters of the plot, who in the 1980s was played by. Heather Thomas.
The direction is entrusted to David Leitch (“Bullet Train”), who, before being consecrated with “John Wick” and “Deadpool 2”, was just a cinematic stuntman.
Drew Pearce, who worked with Leitch on “Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw,” wrote the script and serves as executive producer alongside Gosling and original series creator Glen A. Larson.
The premiere date was set for March 1, 2024.
