The Spanish series will say goodbye to its mysteries in 2023.
The mysteries come to an end: ‘El Internado Las Cumbres’ will end its third season on Amazon Prime Video. The news comes just a week after the premiere of its second season on April 1, where we continue to explore everything that this boarding school isolated from the world and its rebellious students hide. The platform has confirmed that the third season will arrive in 2023.
Set in a school located next to an old monastery in the mountains, practically inaccessible, ‘El Internado Las Cumbres’ follows a group of troubled young people who are sent to this institution to correct their manners and be reinserted into society. But that the teachers are strict or the boring classes will be the least of their problems: some of the students discover that the ancient lodge that inhabited the forests, known as the Raven’s Nest, is still active and committing crimes. Thus, they will realize that this boarding school keeps many secrets. In the second season, the threat of a serial killer causes the rules to become stricter in the institution, although the protagonists will not stop investigating what is happening to save their friends. We count this new season among the best Spanish series of 2022 on Amazon Prime Video.

The episodes of the second season of ‘El internado: Las Cumbres’ were directed by Denis Rovira and Mikel Rueda. In the cast we find Asia Ortega (‘The hockey girls’), Albert Salazar (‘AKA’), Daniel Arias (‘Cuéntame’), Daniela Rubio (‘The hunt. The second season also included Clara Galle (‘Through my window’), Irene Anula (‘Vis a vis’), Nicolas Cazale (‘Le Grand Voyage’), Annick Weerts (‘Contratiempo’) and Alberto Berzal (‘ Mothers. Love and life’), among others.
The third and final installment of ‘El Internado Las Cumbres’ will be produced by THE MEDIAPRO STUDIO and Buendía Estudios. At the head of the executive production will be again Laura Fernández Espeso, Javier Pons and Laura Belloso of THE MEDIAPRO STUDIO, and Ignacio Corrales and Sonia Martínez from Buendía Studies. In the script we find Laura Belloso leading a team made up of Asier Andueza (co-creator of the series) and Sara Belloso, who already participated in the scripts for ‘El Internado La Laguna Negra’, along with Eva Mir, screenwriter in the second season, and Guillermo Cisneros, who joins in this latest installment.
