Glauber Rocha’s youth will become a film

Producer Vânia Catani (“O Palhaço”, “Zama”) bought the rights to “A Primavera do Dragão”, a biography written by Nelson Motta, which tells the story of Glauber Rocha’s youth (1939-1981).

The work tries to recover the trajectory of the golden years of the most famous director of Cinema Novo, author of classics such as “Barravento” (1962), “Deus eo Diabo na Terra do Sol” (1964) and “Terra em Transe” (1967). ), to tell the youth of a precocious genius against cultural monotony.

According to Ancelmo Gois’s column in the newspaper O Globo, the screenplay is already being written and shooting will begin shortly. But there is no information on the team developing the adaptation.
