Minister Alexandre De Moraes of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) presented himself to the office of the Prosecutor General (PGR) a request to investigate the deputies Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP) and Gustavo Gayer (PL-GO) for the offensive who made the Banco do Brasil in the context of the United States Sanctuaries in Brasil. Moraes gave Pgr five days to inform if you see enough elements to establish an investigation into deputies.
The Supreme was triggered by the leader of the PT in the house, the vice Remont (RJ), who accuses Eduardo and Gayer of false news. The pedestal requested an investigation for the dissemination of false information on the financial institution, crimes against the popular economy, crimes against the economic order and the criminal association.
Eduardo and Gustavo Gayer said that Banco do Brasil could be punished and even bankruptcy if he does not respect the Magnitsky law, which was used by the United States government to economically sanction Alexandre de Moraes.
In a video published on social networks, Eduardo Bolsonaro said that Banco do Brasil “will be cut by international relations, which will lead him to bankruptcy”. Gustavo Gayer ordered people to take “their money from the bank” because “Moraes will break Brazil”.
In the representation of the StF, the leader PT said that the purpose of publications was “destabilizing the national financial system”. Moraes will wait for PGR’s opinion to make a decision. Eduardo is in the United States and is already investigated to the Supreme Court for articulating sanctions to the Brazilian authorities in retaliation for the process of former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL).
This week Moraes also consulted Pgr on a request to investigate the governor of San Paolo, TarcĂsio de Freitas (Republicans), for possible obstruction of justice in the joints in Brasilia for the approval of the amnesty to the scammers.
