With Jack Black and Selton Mello, the trailer of Anaconda is released; I wait

The wait is over! Sony published (finally) the trailer of “Anaconda” – and yes, there is Brazilian in the cast: Selton Mello, who plays a “fascinating snake”. The film is played by Jack Black and Paul Rudd, who are also accompanied by Thandiwe Newton, Steve Zahn and Daniela Melchior.

Directed by Tom Gormican (“The unbearable weight of a huge talent” Heavy Tira: Axel F “), the feature is not exactly a remake of the 1997 classic with Jennifer Lopez, Owen Wilson, Ice Cube, Jon Voight, Eric Staltz and Jonathan Hyde.

In this version, a group of friends is experiencing a middle -aged crisis and decides to redo a favorite childhood film. But things escape control when Rudd’s character kills the snake used in filming. And then the search for another protagonist begins … until they came across something much bigger than they thought it was possible.

The original was not well welcomed by critics, but had a positive box office performance, collecting $ 136 million all over the world. In 2004, fans were able to follow the “Anacondas: The Blood Orchid Hunt” sequence, as well as three other productions launched in the following years.

Made in Brazil

At the beginning of this year, a video published by Sony shows a moment of relaxation between Selton Mello, Paul Rudd and Jack Black. The actor seems to play the guitar and sing with the duo an improvised Black song to advertise the film. In the end, Selton still teaches some words in Portuguese for the duo. “At Christmas, we are coming.” The actors repeat and the Brazilian jokes: “wonderful Portuguese, people”.

Selton Mello was confirmed in the cast after the worldwide success of “I’m Still Here”, who (remember) beat the Oscar for the best international film. In a statement, the artist described the experience of shooting his first film in English.

“It is a new phase of life and this always brings a different energy, learning and growth, very happy to do what I love, now in another way,” he said. “Working in a Sony Pictures production of this size, with actors that I have always admired, in another language, which have been generously welcomed as an actor by Brazil who also respect and were curious to know, all this was a source of great joy in this moment of my professional life.”

Countdown

The project was confirmed last year in a Video Posted on YouTube. “We are making a movie!” Jack Black says at the beginning. “You want to scare you. You want to laugh. You want to celebrate with your friends. Maybe you are alone, sad and without anyone, but you just want to forget it,” adds Paul Rudd. The world launch of “Anaconda” is scheduled for December 25th.
