Stranger Things is not expected to introduce many characters in the fifth season

The Duffer brothers are not expected to introduce new characters during the fifth season of Stranger Things. Relief for fans of the series was born in an interview with Matt and Ross Duffer. The duo promises more attention to stories already in the works, such as Eleven, Will and Mike, Dustin and Lucas.

Stranger Things is one of the few series that manages to fascinate virtually all audiences at the same time and for many years. However, the production has also begun to accumulate new stories and share space with the core team, introduced in the first episode of the first season – yes, there are too many people in this narrative.

Much to the relief of those who want more answers from the story arcs that began in the first moments of the series, the Duffer brothers have vowed not to include too many new characters in the fifth and final season of Stranger Things. At least that’s what Matt and Ross Duffer said at IndieWire.

Stranger Things will focus on the original characters

“I like to shake it, so we shake it when we change the storyline or add a new monster. We are doing our best to resist (adding new characters) for the fifth season. We’re trying not to do that so we can focus on the original characters, ”commented Matt Duffer.

By “original characters” I mean all of the children (who are no longer children, right) of Hawkins and their families, including Agent Hoper and even some older ones like Robin and Nancy Wheeler.

It is not yet clear what the path of the fifth season will be, but the Duffer brothers have already given some interviews pointing out that it will be smaller than the fourth, in addition to focusing even more on the explanation of the Upside down. The release forecast for this, which will be the last part of the Stranger Things story, will arrive on Netflix streaming in 2024.

Stranger Things has lost some of its charm in the third season, but in the fourth and current season the series has managed to make history by being the second most viewed of Netflix, second only to the success of the Korean production of Round Six.
