Camp Farroupilha 2025 made its closing ceremony this Saturday (20), at 15 hours, on the stage of Jayme Caetano Braun, in Harmonia Park, in Porto Alegre. The law was marked by the extinction of the Creola flame and participated by the Secretary of Municipal Culture, Liliana Cardoso, as well as the members of the organizational committee and the invited authorities. Official activities continue until this Sunday (21).
In this edition, 236 pickets occupied about 100,000 square meters, promoting cultural projects under the theme “short waves for a long history: the centenary of Darcy Fagundes and the 70th anniversary of the great Rodeio Joker”. The patron was the traditionalist Rene Barbachan, one of the pioneers of the event.
The program has brought together over 120 musical and artistic attractions, distributed between the phases of Jayme Caetano Braun – with a 360º structure – and Nico Fagundes. The free admission shows took place every day, highlighting names such as Tchê Barbaridade, Tchê Guri, Shana Müller, Pyrisca Grecco, Nenito Sarturi and Jairo Lambari Fernandes. There have also been CTG presentations, dance groups, declaims, disorders, showers and recitals of poems.
“During these 20 days of Camp Farroupilha, the largest event dedicated to the culture of Gaucho, we reiterated our roots. In 2026 we will return to continue to celebrate what we have precious in Rio Grande do on: our origins,” said Liliana.
The campsite is a partnership of the Town Hall of Porto Alegre, through the Municipal Secretariat of Culture (SMC), with the Farroupilha Festival Commission and the GAM3 parks dealer, head of the park.
Parade – previously, the mayor participated in the traditional parade of 20 September, held in Edvaldo Pereira Paiva Avenue.
