“If possible, we already take the agenda next week. It is an important agenda, we know how long it will bring progress to millions of Brazilians. I think it is an agenda that, in its maturity, is the time to bring it to the plenary,” he said during the Macro Day conference, held by BB Btg Pactual, Monday 22, in Sao Paulo.
Motta said he had “full confidence” that the text approved by the Commission must be approved by the plenary and that Lira will use the meeting of the leaders of tomorrow, 23, to speak with the benches on the subject. “The work of Arthur Lira in the Committee was approved unanimously. All opposition parties have contributed to approving this relationship. And with which I speak, I see that the evaluation of this work is that he did a balanced relationship,” he said.
Information on compensation, the mayor said that “everything is possible”, but that the parties must have the responsibility: “If the compensation changes, it withdraws, if the exemption range increases, all this is possible. The special commission for the amendment to income tax legislation approved the opinion of the speaker, Arthur Lira (PP-AL), at the end of the first legislative semester of this year. The text provides for the total exemption of income tax for those who have a monthly income up to $ 5,000 and partial exemption for those who earn up to $ 7,350 per month. To enter into force, the bill has yet to be appreciated in the Senate.

Hugo Motta believes that Deputy Carlos Zarattini (PT-SP), a speaker of the provisional measure that contains an alternative to the increase in the tax on financial transactions (IOF), is open to negotiate changes in the text to allow approval.
