The Israeli police said on Thursday that she arrested a man for threatening to kill Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The police said that, just before the start of the Jewish New Year holidays, on Monday evening, a man on the 40th anniversary in the city of Kiryat Gat in the south of the country entered the local police station saying that he would kill Netanyahu.
“The suspicion told the police that he had planned to buy a firearm and shoot the prime minister three times,” said the police.
The man was arrested and an accusation against him should be presented on Thursday. The police intend to keep the man in custody until the end of the legal proceedings.
The research on opinion shows that Netanyahu is losing public support due to the almost two years against Hamas militants, which led to the fear that Israel becomes more isolated globally.
There are 48 hostages: it is believed that 20 are still alive held in Gaza and their families ask the Israeli government to make an agreement to bring them home.
