In 2011, Danny Bowl performed his nerves in the artistic film of absolutely attempted tension: 127 hours. The story of an amazing true story will tell us in April 2003. Aron Ralston, a 27 -year -old young man, is going to hike in the valleys of Juta.
Survive in the hole
He is alone and no one warns him of his excursion. As an experienced climber, it collects the beautiful peaks of the region. However, in the depth of the remote canyon it is unthinkable: the rock above it is distinguished and arrested on the rock wall. Here it is trapped, threatened by dehydration and hypothermia caused by hallucinations.
She talks to her ex -girlfriend, her family, and wonder if the two girls she met in the canyon, before her accident, would be the last. Five days later, to understand that help will not arrive, he will have to make the most serious decision of his existence: to cut his arm to get rid of ROC prison.
Within 127 hours, Danny Boyle succeeds in a closed door in the middle of the wildlife, and the missing person fights for his survival. And when you know that this story is based on real facts, it can only be captured! James Franco gives an exception to an Oscar appointment for Best Actor in 2011.
“Is there anyone?!”
Intensive experience
Aron Ralston’s “stronger than a rock” book, Danny Boyle, quickly realized the film he wanted to shoot. The purpose of the filmmaker was to bring the intensity of experience to the viewer to use a subjective camera as close as possible to the character.
Nevertheless, the director at the same time wanted to form the inner dimension of this story. “I wanted to bring the people to the canyon with an aron and no longer let him go until he came out”He explained when promoting the film.
“Of course, in this topic I saw an extraordinary saving lesson in extreme circumstances, but I believe that there is another dimension of this story that will surprise people. The director continued.
“This intangible force that unites everyone. And when Aron, who seems to be alone and far from everything in his hole, was brought to men’s idea of life, for reintegration of society, something very powerful”Said Danny Bowl.
Awesome authenticity
At the start of the project, Aaron Ralson had not yet included the filmmaker’s intentions, but he chose to trust him. “Working with Danny Bowl was a phenomenal experience. It is a very discerning and great creativity. He was also very sensitive to what history he has. If not in various copies, or through meetings and interviews with actors, this covers more than he dreamed of.” Said Ralston.
Throughout the film, the audience stays in this abyss with the hero, suffering with him and fighting with all his might to survive. This super realistic approach makes it one of the most intense and exciting surviving works in the cinema.

In order to leave the reality of the facts as much as possible, Danny Boyle used all the details that Aron Ralston could provide him with. The 127 -hour team had a privilege to see test videos taken by an athlete when it was trapped, thanks to a camera, which was also used in the film to reproduce these same videos.
“We wanted to faithfully respect the reality that he had experienced when he was left in the prisoner. So we used precise equipment he had in his backpack, his exact amount of water, the quality of his knife, the slightest element of his strategy.Said the producer Christian Kolson.
A huge challenge for James Franco
In addition, despite the attempts to make the film and the emotional challenge, which represented the role without real resistance, the character was immediately perceived as the attraction of James Franco. The actress explained that one of the elements that persuaded her to participate in the film lived in her structure.
The story develops thanks to the accumulation of small intimate moments, just as everyone can experience when they are completely alone. He felt instinctive abilities to understand this deep loneliness as an internal source from which he could draw.
To prepare, the actor was told this story with the smallest details of Aron Ralston himself. Even the latter showed him how some positions were held for the long hours of immobility, so that he repeated the way he had caught the knife during the amputation.

The hike was also done together to better improve experienced experience. However, Franco never considers his interpretation as a simple imitation. Ralston’s faithful physical reproduction was denied from the beginning.
According to him, director Danny Bowley tried, first of all, to achieve the emotional truth, to resolve the intensity of this unusual situation. Thus, it was not a matter of copying of a real person, but a deeply human and universal experience.
If you want to see (re -) for 127 hours, warm under your board, under the arm of the pillow (and not under the huge pebble), the film is available on maximum and paramount+platforms.
