On Tuesday, August 16, it all starts here…

In the morning, Teissier goes to the pop-up to have a little talk with Louis so he can call off his engagement to Charlene. As Louis refuses to break her heart, Emmanuelle threatens to reveal the whole truth to her daughter. Although son Armand replies that he doesn’t want to hurt Charlene, Emmanuel says he’s willing to take risks to prevent her from making a terrible mistake.

Joining them, Charlene asks to speak to her father. He did not react to the announcement of engagement, the young woman thinks that he does not agree with her. Emmanuel doesn’t hide it, Charlene makes him realize that he’ll have to get used to it because he’s not going to change his mind. Although he clearly doesn’t like Louis and thinks it’s a bad idea, the pastry chef still makes his daughter believe that he trusts him. Therefore he does not oppose her wish. As Charlene thanks him, Emmanuel swears he’ll always be there for her, especially on her divorce day… After telling her it was a joke, he takes her by the hand and congratulates her.

Claire, on the other hand, makes a big return to the Institute. In fact, Louis’ mother left the nursing home he was staying at earlier than expected and plans to spend time with Louis to help him prepare for the engagement. Although Louis and Teyssier’s relationship has always been strained, Chef Guino assures us that his son truly loves Charlene. Besides, she thinks that Louis and Charlene bring a lot to each other. Louis is more reserved and calm and Charlene is more relaxed because they are together. When Teissier states that he hopes that with a little luck they will realize that their engagement is a sham, Claire reminds him that the most important thing is that they are happy.

Louis, on the other hand, is unfazed and confides in Lionel that Teissier pressured him. Since the latter is not the type to throw things into the open, Lionel advises him to tell Charlene the truth and make things right. With a few “I love you” swipes, she’ll be sure to throw in the towel. Seeing him hesitate, Lionel points out to him that Taysier is risking telling him his own way, that is, dirty. Barring a miracle, there’s no way Charlene will ever forgive him.

At the end of the day, Louis and Charlene return to Guinot. As he is about to tell her everything, Claire turns up to offer Charlene the ring that Auguste Armand gave her for Louis’ birthday. Touched by this symbolic gift, Louis and Charlene thank him warmly.

Later, Louis tries to talk to Charlene again, but ends up hanging up. As she tries to find out what’s going on, he makes her think that the hotel she wanted to book for their trip to the Maldives is full. However, Charlene doesn’t care because all that matters to her is that they are together. While she asks if that’s all he’s worried about, Louis says yes, before specifying that he would never cheat on her…

At the Institute, Clotilda and Rose summon Enzo because they have a proposal. When she is on her way to a professional project at a high-end bakery, Chef Armand invites her to double as a pastry chef for a few weeks. Delighted, Enzo accepts without hesitation.

Later, a cocktail party was held at Double A to celebrate Teissier’s victory in the National Pastry Championship. For the occasion, he brings the pageant trophy with unabashed pride, and then makes a speech to publicly thank Enzo and Salome for their support during the pageant. Emmanuel then dedicates his victory to his wife and children, as well as to his friend Auguste Armand, about whom he has special thoughts today. At the end of the speech, Teysier takes Enzo to his side and congratulates him on a great moment. He even encourages the young man to persevere, because if he keeps this momentum going, he might end up near the ankle one day.

Axel, noticing that Salome was not at the cocktail party, questions Enzo. The latter then tells everything that happened in the championship.

After a while, Axel finds Salome at home and tries to cheer her up. If he’s having a bit of a hard time recovering from the recent events, Axel still manages to keep the atmosphere relaxed and smiling.

Gaytan urges Tony to invite Laetitia to the opening of their coffee shop next week. However, Tony understood very well that his friend was trying to bring them closer. Although he has feelings for Kelly’s mother, he doesn’t think it’s the right time to flirt with her since she just broke up with Guillaume. Besides, trying something now, he was very afraid of going overboard. But Gaitan still advises him to make the first move.

For the last day of training, Chef Listrac invited Marie, a friend who runs one of Avignon’s best restaurants, to show the apprentice chefs some of the tips she uses every day in the kitchen.

And it doesn’t take long for Marie to fall under Tony’s spell. So much so that he leaves the other students to show him how to make a perfectly round fried egg.

At the end of class, Tony, Gaitan and Leticia are talking in the park when Marie joins them and invites her student for a drink. However, Tony refuses to say that he is tired. Since Laetitia doesn’t understand why she refused, Tony, feeling uncomfortable, makes her believe that he might call her in the future. An answer that seems to please Laetitia.
