Daniel Kaluuya responds after hearing about Logan Paul’s Nope Critical Review

Daniel Kaluuya, the star of No (the new film from acclaimed horror writer / director Jordan Peele) is still in press for production for the big screen. And in the midst of that, he finally responded to Logan Paul’s very opinionated social media thread, in which he explained his thoughts on the film. So what does Kaluuya, Oscar winner and one of the biggest stars in the world right now, have to say about the polarizing YouTuber?

Logan Paul posted an article on No in Twitter shortly after the movie was released last month. Although he praised Daniel Kaluuya as an actor, he challenged the structure and tone of the story, among other things. when Capital FM Kaluuya was asked about Paul’s version of the summer horror hit, the actor said he didn’t think it should be taken too seriously:

Why is your opinion at the top of the tree? Everyone has the right to have an opinion but what did he do in the cinema? Imagine if they asked me about Eric Clapton. I would take everyone’s opinion, I would listen to it, but I would just say ‘I don’t know why you are more than everyone else’.

In other words, the salt alum doesn’t understand why the social media star’s opinion stands out more than everyone else’s. Dozens of critics have covered the film, so why is the YouTuber’s review the one that stands out? We can honestly see where the star came from. After all, Logan Paul is known for videos of him on YouTube and boxing matches, not movie reviews. And more recently, Paul has also made a strong impression freestyle wrestling.

Later in the conversation, Daniel Kaluuya even considered sitting down with the viral star to talk about the film. However, he quickly retracted the idea:

I’m happy to sit with him … would I really sit with him? No, this actually defeats the purpose, I wouldn’t sit with him.

Well, I don’t think we’ll see Daniel Kaluuya on the social media expert’s podcast. impulsive, at any time. It’s probably for the best, famous guests don’t have a reputation for giving their best on the show. Maybe these two could break bread in a different way. Maybe a boxing match? (I’m taking bets now.)

It doesn’t seem like Logan Paul’s ferocious review is having much effect NoThe box office success of, although it became an instant box office success. With such an enthusiastic reception, Paul has faced a lot of backlash from fans online. Many pointed out that the Youtube star simply hadn’t seen the movie, which Logan Paul admitted in his review. Fortunately, Gossipify has broken down the ending of Nofor him and others to read when they are ready.

If you want to see for yourself if you agree with Logan Paul or some of Jordan Peele’s rave reviews from critics No, now you can see the film in theaters.
