Pearl Jam’s frontman and the Earthlings also played ‘I’m One’ from The Who, ‘Save It For Later’ from English Beat, and more
THE Ohana Music Festival annual of Eddie Vedder started on Friday and the frontman of Pearl Jam and the Earthlings It was the headliners of the first three nights of the festival in Dana Point, California. It was the first time in two years that he and his bandmates Earthlings – The guitarists Andrew Watt, Josh Klinghoffer and Glen hansard; The drummer of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Chad Smithand the bassist Chris Chaney – They performed together. To mark the occasion, they delivered several covers alongside songs of Earthling and Pearl Jam.
They started everything with a cover of “Gut Feeling” of Owe Before leaving to “Corduroy” of Pearl Jam.
During the final part of your set, which previously included a cover of “I’m One” of The Whothe band played the instrumental introduction of “The Song Remains The Same” of LED ZEPPELIN Before leaving to “Rearviewmirir” of Pearl Jam. Before playing the songs, Vedder He shouted to “all magnificent human beings” who were playing at the festival. “Only legends, so many amazing women on stage all day and over the weekend,” he said before giving credit to Shirley Manson of Grubby, Hinds from Madrid, Jessica Dobson of DEEP SEA DIVER, Akira Galaxy and Kim Dealand also shouted to his wife and additionally KAREN O of YEAH YEAH YEAHSwho was not presenting but apparently in the audience.
After the greetings, Vedder He shared a story about a high school administrator whose mission, he said, was “ruining my life.” But the music helped him go through it. “There was this musical piece, and I will never forget where I was or how high I was, and for some reason, this musical piece – not even the words, nothing – it was like a drug,” he said Vedder. “I raised me. It was a takeoff. I realized, do you know one thing? That if this guy dams. And one day, he won’t mean anything to you,” he said. Later, he added: “Let’s play this music piece and I will let it be a reminder that music is power. Music has power. You must be responsible with the power of this song and a microphone and a microphone and communicate with people we trust and we are grateful to trust us… this person who was ill with me? THE Ohana Music Festival continues until Sunday, with Hozier as Saturday night headliner and Green Day ending the event on Sunday.
