Israel and the Palestinian militant group Hamas are “very close” to reach an agreement on a structure to end the war in Gaza and the lasting peace in the Middle East, the press secretary of the White House Karoline Leavitt said on Monday.
Leavitt, speaking of the “Fox and Friends” program of Fox News, said that the president of the United States Donald Trump would discuss a peace plan at 21 points with the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House later on Monday. Trump will talk to the leaders of Qatar, who worked as intermediaries with Hamas on Monday, he said.
“To reach a reasonable agreement on both sides, both sides must give up a little and can leave the table a little dissatisfied, but in the end it is so that we will end up this conflict,” he said.
