Brasilia – The Brazilian labor market has created 147,358 new formal jobs in August, according to the data of New general recording of employees and unemployed (cage)issued this Monday 29, from Ministry of Labor and Employment.
In July, the balance had been positive in 134,251 vacant places, already incorporating adjustments into the series. It is the worst result for August from August, the beginning of the new cage.

The balance from January to August is positive to 1,501,930 formal seats, a result of 13.8% lower than that observed in the same period of 2024, when 1,742,664 new formal works were created.
In the last 12 months (September 2024 in August 2025), the numbers show 1,438,243 net hires, less than the balance observed from September 2023 to August 2024 (1,804,122).
