The consequences of the widespread struggle in the last weekend Spate Fight Night generated punishments involved in confusion. This Tuesday (30), the National Boxing Council (CNB) has decided to suspend the fighters they play in this act.

In a declaration issued by the agency and recorded by the fight, the CNB announced that six people were punished with the suspension in the participation of events organized by the entity. They are Wanderlei Silva, Aceino ‘Popó’ Freitas, André ‘Dida’ Amado, Lucas Silva, Luis Claudio Freitas and Iago Freitas, with the sanctions issued shortly after.

Among all the involved, André Dida was the one who took the greatest suspensions, being prohibited by CNB events for a year (punishment valid until 30/09/2026). The former fighter, who was part of Wanderlei’s team, appears in the images of the confusion, giving a series of punches to Popó and also attacked another member of the boxer team after the suspension of the fight at Spaten Fight Night

Popó and Wanderlei received 180 days suspensions each for their participation in the struggle. For the same period, Iago Freitas, son of the boxing champion Quattro and Luis Claudio Freitas, this brother and coach of Bahia, were suspended. Lucas Silva, in turn, had the smallest of the penalties, 90 days of suspension.

Rafael Freitas, another son of Popó and who was the author of the fist who eliminated the legend of the MAMA during the fight, did not receive penalties from the CNB. The justification of the agency is that Rafael cannot be punished because it is not part of his father’s corner team, not falling within the rules that frame that they can be sanctioned by the Council.

Like Rafael, others involved in the struggle that are not recorded as athletes or have CNB licenses will not even be suspended. But these can also be punished with the ban on entering events that the agency sanctions. If these penalties occur and their term effective, this should be defined soon by the entity.

The National Boxing Council has also released in the note that all punishments should also be followed for other combat sports, through notification to the organizations with which it maintains a partnership. This will also make the characters of the struggle that cannot participate as public or actively participating in these.
