Vinicius Junior’s villa, which caught fire this Thursday (9), is located in La Moraleja, Madrid, a luxury residential area, home to athletes such as Luka Modric, Rodrygo and Federico Valverde. It is worth around 6 million euros (R$43 million) and previously belonged to former player Sergio Ramos and presenter Pilar Rubio.
According to the Real Madrid striker’s press office, the fire broke out in the sauna of the house after an electrical fault and spread to two floors of the building. Despite the scare, no one was injured. The damage was only material.
With 2,500 m² of built area, the villa has seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms, two swimming pools, a cinema, a party room and a full gym, decorated with images of sports idols such as Pelé, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan. The space was completely customized by Vini Jr., who included a gold monogram on the walls and glass panels to display his trophies.
Among the strengths of the residence are a covered garage for six cars, a gourmet area, a large garden and a sports field. The neighborhood is known for its private security and proximity to the airport and financial center of the Spanish capital.
Under the El Chiringuito de Jugones program, the athlete rents the property with the possibility of purchasing, a common model among players temporarily living in Madrid.
Virginia remained in Vini Jr.’s villa.
The villa was also the stage for the player’s personal moments. The influencer Virginia, with whom Vini Jr. had a brief relationship, would have stayed in the house during his last visits to the city. He left the post on Sunday (6), shortly before the fire, after the athlete’s conversations with two models were leaked, published by journalist Leo Dias.
The night before the incident, the star had published an apology to the young woman on social media. “We all go through moments that make us reflect and grow. I recently experienced a situation that made me look inward, recognize attitudes that did not represent who I want to be and the type of relationship I want to build,” the player wrote.
Vini Jr. also admitted that although the two “were not yet a couple, there was a sincere bond.” He concluded the message by saying: “I’m not ashamed to admit that I was careless, I didn’t respond in the best way and I let you down.”
