Corinthians have activated a clause in their contract with Esportes da Sorte which allows the club to go to the market to increase main sponsorship values. The trigger, in fact, was already foreseen in the contract with the bookmaker. The board does not want to immediately break with the sponsor, but can renegotiate the values with the company. According to information, Corinthians management has not yet started talks with other clubs, but has already been contacted by some brands who have shown interest. The club wants to at least double the value, which is currently R$309 million in three years.
Furthermore, Corinthians is aware of having maintained a loyal relationship with the club. This opened up the space to discuss with the current partner also about improving the amount paid for the share.
If Corinthians choose to break up with Esportes da Sorte, they will have to pay a fine for changing clubs. According to Trivela, the value of a possible resolution is around 30 million Brazilian reals. Finally, the parties have already entered the second year of the partnership, which began in July 2024.
